Acceptable Use Policy

This policy explains acceptable use of RemoveSubs, including uploaded media, processed results, accounts, and API access. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Use media you are authorized to edit
Upload and process only media you own or have permission to use and modify. Make sure your use of the original media and the edited result respects copyright, privacy, publicity, and other applicable rights.
Do not remove third-party watermarks, copyright marks, ownership notices, or technical rights controls without authorization. Removing subtitles or text does not give you ownership of the underlying video or permission to republish it.
Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the service to:
- Create, upload, process, or distribute illegal content, including child sexual abuse material or content that sexually exploits minors.
- Create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, or use edited media to harass, threaten, blackmail, or expose someone's private information without authorization.
- Commit fraud, impersonate another person or organization deceptively, facilitate phishing, or produce misleading media intended to cause harm.
- Infringe intellectual property rights or evade restrictions on the authorized use of media.
- Upload malicious files, distribute malware, or attempt to compromise the service or another user's data.
Protect accounts and service reliability
Keep your login details and API credentials secure. Do not access accounts, files, or systems without permission, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or interfere with other users' access.
Do not bypass payment requirements, credit accounting, rate limits, file limits, or access controls. Do not create accounts to exploit promotional credits or submit excessive automated requests that disrupt service availability. Authorized API use remains subject to the limits of your plan and the service.
Review edited results
AI processing can introduce artifacts or remove information unintentionally. Review outputs before sharing them. Do not present edited content in a way that deceives viewers about material facts or violates another person's rights. You remain responsible for how you use and distribute your results.
Enforcement
We may reject processing requests, restrict access, or suspend accounts when we identify violations of this policy or activity that threatens service security or availability. Where appropriate, we may request information needed to assess a report or restore access. Billing and refund questions are handled under our Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
Report abuse or request a review
To report suspected abuse or ask us to review an access restriction, contact support@removesubs.com. Include relevant URLs or task identifiers and a description of the issue. Do not send passwords, API keys, or illegal media as attachments.
Personal information associated with reports is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Updates
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
