For Korean subtitles in an MP4, check whether the Hangul is in a separate track or rendered into the picture. Outlined character blocks need careful edge inspection.
Case notes from supplied original/result videos · fixed timestamps inspected September 8, 2026
In the coffee example, the outlined Hangul disappears at both inspected moments and the cup surface remains visible. A successful check needs to include the dark outline and the curved cup edge, not just the centers of the white characters.
Inspect the subtitle strokes in motion
Compare the original and result as the video plays.
Outlined Hangul over a coffee cup
These notes refer to the supplied original/result pair shown in the player, not a newly submitted processing job.
| Condition | Details |
|---|---|
| Source | 1280 × 720 景观:咖啡倒入,8 秒。 |
| Text | White Hangul character blocks with a dark outline. |
| Challenge | Changing line width near a curved cup edge and moving liquid. |
The supplied result no longer shows the Korean line at 1.00s or 3.50s. The inspected area contains the front of the cup and its rim rather than an added cover or visible subtitle band.
This is one outlined font on one cup-and-coffee scene. The cup is a relatively smooth surface; these observations do not establish the same result over faces, fabric, or fast camera motion. Inspect the full video for temporal changes.
Use the caption footprint to choose your own test
A thicker outline expands the area covered by a character. A new phrase may cover a wider section even when the text stays in the same position.
Choose a complete phrase change
Include the end of one subtitle and the start of the next, with the motion that occurs between them.
Check the outer stroke
Inspect the black border, small gaps inside the character blocks and the nearby background.
Compare a recognizable contour
Use a cup edge, face outline or other continuous shape to judge whether the replacement picture remains usable.
Check storage separately from the language
The writing system does not determine whether subtitles are a separate track or part of the video frames.
Disable player subtitles
If the words disappear, remove the selectable subtitle track instead of running image repair.
Inspect any remaining text
带有双语或下载的文件可能包含多个字幕来源。请分别检查每一行。
Prepare a supported local clip
Use MP4, MOV or WebM. There is no language selector or translation step in the automatic workflow.
Decide whether your result is ready for the next edit
Check the intended use rather than assuming language support establishes quality.
Before replacing the captions
- The complete line, outline and punctuation are acceptably removed.
- Nearby objects remain usable in motion.
- Important background lettering has been checked against the source.
- The download contains the whole intended scene.
- Replacement subtitles are created separately in your editor.

Questions and answers
Can I remove Korean text if it is burned into the MP4?
AI can attempt to repair burned-in Korean text. A subtitle track you can turn off should instead be removed through a track-aware workflow.
Does the tool need a Korean language setting?
No. Processing is automatic without a language setting. Inspect the actual character style, outline and background in your result.
Were these examples processed again for this case study?
No. The notes inspect supplied original/result pairs at fixed timestamps. They do not measure a new job’s speed, cost or performance on other footage.
